Tricia Bitetto is the Program Manager at Venture Café Cambridge, part of the Cambridge Innovation Center, or CIC. CIC operates a global network of innovation campuses that provide workspace, resources, and community for entrepreneurs, startups, and changemakers — from Boston and St. Louis to Warsaw, Tokyo, and beyond.
At Venture Café, Tricia curates weekly gatherings that bring together hundreds of innovators, investors, researchers, and community leaders from around the world. Under her leadership, community attendance has grown by 40% (460 average attendees)— a surge she has sustained for the last year and a half — while also producing programming featuring over 300 speakers and welcoming more than 20,000 attendees from over 20 countries, from Senegal to Japan to Iceland.
Before joining CIC, she managed theater venues and guest experience at McCarter Theatre at Princeton University, welcoming 250,000 visitors per year. She produced major comedy festivals at ImprovBoston, built a career in creative production, startups, and the arts, and founded two companies of her own. She is the winner of the 2024 Innovator Award from Venture Café Global Institute and was recently invited to serve on the Advisory Committee for SXSW Pitch, where she will review 75–100 pitch decks and help select 25 finalists to compete at the SXSW in Austin, TX in March 2026. Tricia is also thrilled to be on the speaker Curation Team for TedxHarvard Square 2026.

Paulo Lozano is the M. Aleman-Velasco Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Director of the MIT Space Propulsion Laboratory. His research focuses on advanced space propulsion, plasma physics, small satellites, and nanotechnology, with particular emphasis on highly efficient, compact ion thrusters for next-generation spacecraft.

\r\n

Beyond his academic research, Professor Lozano is deeply engaged in translating frontier space technologies from the laboratory toward real-world applications, providing a unique perspective on how university research, startups, industry, investors, and government can work together to shape the next generation of the commercial space economy. His work has resulted in more than 10 patents and has been supported by NASA, DARPA, the U.S. Air Force, NSF, and other government and private organizations.

Professor Lozano has received the AIAA Technical Achievement Award for his contributions to ion electrospray propulsion and the U.S. Air Force Young Investigator Program Award. Asha brings over 15 years of valuable experience in the health care sector, driven by a
deep commitment to improving community health. She's worked in public health, health
technology, and corporate marketing for health care organizations. Asha is passionate
about ensuring that health care organizations have the right systems and processes to
launch new innovations successfully and grow sustainably. She has consistently
championed effective stakeholder engagement and streamlined processes and
operations, including Epic and other system integrations.
During her time at The Advisory Board Company, Asha earned Pragmatic Marketing
certifications, ran various technology user groups, and launched almost a dozen highly
successful analytics products. As Senior Vice President of Integrated Sales and
Marketing at a leading life sciences company, Asha was a driving force behind highly
effective marketing strategies. She focused on integrating sales and marketing,
evaluating martech, and ensuring that messaging was relevant and connected to
customer targets.

Asha ran point on over half a dozen acquisitions and new product launches, managing
multi-million-dollar marketing budgets that led to nearly $50 million in sales attributed to
marketing efforts in just 3 years. Asha knows how to measure success and make sure

As co-President of a top market access marketing firm in the US, Kelly led the charge in
bringing in new clients and planning strategies that brought in over half a billion dollars
in revenue over a decade. In her role as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at
one of the leading end-to-end R&D and commercialization firms for life science
manufacturers, Kelly engineered initiatives to build a more cohesive, metrics-driven
organization that had topline growth of more than $140 million during her 2 years in the
role. Kelly strongly believes that "the client experience is only as good as the employee
experience," emphasizing that the success of any endeavor extends beyond any single
individual.
Outside of work, Kelly has been married for over 20 years and is a proud mom to two

Seven Japanese biotech companies and university research platforms, spanning antibody discovery, RNA and artificial nucleic acid therapeutics, and AI-powered cancer diagnostics, present live at CIC Cambridge, all pre-screened through Hiroshima University's startup selection process.

Meet the founders and researchers building a miRNA therapeutics platform (PURMX Therapeutics), hard-to-target antibody discovery (iBody Inc.), and a non-coding RNA target discovery platform (Cloverna Inc.), alongside university teams from Hiroshima University (host-free DNA synthesis and vaccine manufacturing), Tohoku University (artificial nucleic acid therapeutics for multiple myeloma), Nagoya University (AI-powered diagnostics for pancreatic cancer), and OIST (peptide therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease).

The evening opens with welcome remarks from the Consulate General of Japan in Boston and a look at NINEJP's Japan Innovation Hub initiative, followed by rapid-fire pitches from all seven teams. In this workshop we’ll explore how agentic tools can accelerate drug discovery across the entire span of preclinical work: searching published literature and patents, generating novel compound candidates, hit-to-lead optimization, ADMET screening, designing efficient laboratory experiments, and everything in between.
Making an agent genuinely useful in drug discovery requires more than access to a powerful model. We’ll discuss what AI agents are, how they differ from conventional chatbots, what goes into effectively leveraging their capabilities, and what we think is most exciting about this emerging technology.

Bring your laptop! Through hands-on drug-discovery examples, we’ll explore reliability and human verification, security and privacy, context and scaling limits, and the tradeoffs between quality, speed, and cost.
