The Maria L. Baldwin Community Center is a nonprofit community and arts center that has served Cambridge for more than 50 years. We believe that talent, creativity, and potential are everywhere, but access and opportunity are not. That's why we combine arts, educational, wellness, and support programs for people of all ages under one roof. Through arts classes, after-school and summer programs, creative aging initiatives, scholarships, mental health support, and family advocacy, we help remove the barriers that can prevent people from fully participating in community life. Each year, we serve more than 2,000 Cambridge residents and artists, creating opportunities for people to connect, express themselves, and discover what's possible when they have both opportunity and support.

Last week, another founder told me, “We’re going after hospitals.”
OK, great. Except hospitals don’t buy things. Neither do hotels. Companies don’t make decisions.
Anyone who wants to sell to a hospital or a company or any group needs to find someone inside there who has the problem they solve.
And even then, there are other people in there who will kill your chances quicker than a sneeze into the wind at the beach.
Happily, that threat can be defused, and then magic can happen.
Let’s look at some people who figured this out, with some help, and talk about the process for making your creation essential to the people destined to make it happen.

In this highly anticipated session, OVR's team will walk attendees through the company's founding story, the product development journey, and the eight years of rigorous R&D that brought the Omara to life. You'll hear firsthand how OVR tackled one of the most complex challenges in immersive technology — and why scent is the missing dimension that makes digital worlds truly unforgettable.
Then, see it all in action. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Omara through live VR and PC desktop demos, as well as scent-enabled games that showcase just how transformative this technology can be. The buzz is real — OVR's recent showcase at PAX East drew over an hour-long wait from eager attendees, a testament to just how much excitement surrounds this groundbreaking device.
Beyond the technology itself, OVR will share insights into Vermont's rapidly growing startup ecosystem and why northern New England is emerging as an increasingly important extension of the Greater Boston network of investors, founders, and innovation partners — proving that world-class innovation isn't limited to major urban centers.
Whether you're a founder, investor, gamer, or simply curious about the future of immersive tech, this session offers a rare, up-close look at a company pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
