Wow, look at all the AI slop we’re swimming in. It’s EVERYWHERE.
On the one hand, this sea of slop is a huge obstacle to getting your message across. There’s more than ever getting between you and your users.
On the other hand, it’s never been easier to stand out.
In a world of shite, we can distinguish ourselves and our creation by being not-shite. When everyone’s lying, you can win by telling the truth.
Let’s look at some excellent examples of how to use design to cut through the fog to make your brand resonate with the right people and create an island of beauty in the sea of slop.
This session is a practical introduction to managing your startup’s accounting and finance in the early stages. We’ll cover how to separate business and personal expenses, build a simple system to track income and spending, and create habits that keep your finances organized without overcomplicating things. We’ll explain the real purpose of bookkeeping—what it’s actually for, what you truly need it to do for you as a founder, and when it makes sense to bring in professional help. We’ll also introduce the difference between cash and accrual accounting in plain terms so you understand what you’re looking at and when each approach matters, along with a simple overview of the core financial statements and what they’re meant to tell you. Finally, we’ll explain FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and walk through how to build a simple forecast so you can look ahead, understand your runway, and make informed decisions as you grow. The goal is clarity, control, and momentum—not complexity.
