Art as a business, art used within business, the craft of building a business. The title of this event may mean any of these things to anyone. Regardless of which way the title is read though, there is something here for everyone. View art and its use within business. Then, end the night with some tips on starting a successful venture.
Drop in for this overview of what Venture Café is, what we do as a community, and how you can make the most of our weekly Thursday Gathering programming! Bring a friend, grab a drink, and plugged-in to the ecosystem – it’s time to CONNECT, LEARN, and SHARE.
At its simplest, Advisory Boards are groups of experts who provide guidance for entrepreneurs and leadership teams for pressing issues and/or goals they have. These sessions can range anywhere from a few hundred USD to thousands of USD, making this valuable advice unavailable to some.
This is where we come in
The On-Demand Advisory Board at Venture Café brings each entrepreneur two teams of five advisors within the span of one hour, focusing on solving one single biggest challenge the entrepreneur is faced with at no cost. Our advisors include but are not limited to entrepreneurs, seasoned operating executives, and domain experts.
The backbone of Venture Café – weekly networking aided by drinks and snacks. Come meet the community and make connections with all different kinds of innovators. Make your serendipitous moment come true.
We’re partnering with Children’s Services of Roxbury Young Adult Access Center for the Dress for Success Clothing Drive!
The Young Adult Access Center is CSR’s newest community service entity that serves young adults ages 16 – 26 who are transitioning out of systems like foster care and other traumatic experiences. At the center, they are able to get connected to resources such as mental health mentorship, job placement, housing, and educational tools with the goal of achieving independence. A major part of this independence for these young adults is being able to dress for success, with the confidence they deserve to achieve their schooling and career goals.
From January 5th – February 2nd, join us in supporting this center by donating professional attire such as:
All donations should be clean and free of tears and holes, and can be brought to Venture Café at each Thursday Gathering between 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
Get ready with drag artists as they discuss the need to safeguard queer spaces, as well as obstacles that are faced by the entrepreneurs looking to revive them. This performance will intersect creative freedom and vulnerability, education, and some of the ART behind the business.
